I'm Still Here!

Well, this is just a little wellness check-in for any concerned old forum friends of mine. I'm fine. Things aren't great; thing's aren't awful. Things are just things, and time persists. I'm healthy and live quite comfortably. That in itself, given the state of our country, is about as good as anybody can ask.

Long story short, even though I haven't closed Revisionist Fables LLC, I did have to go back to work while it's gone nowhere. Lack of trying is the largest part of it. Lack of direction. I've pivoted it away from retail to focus more on my writing. I mean, technically Revisionist Fables has published 1 book already, my own 199Topia.

It's been a very demotivating year. Hoping 2026 will flush out the GOP and finally start fixing the damage the fascists have wrought.

I don't intend to meaningfully, or in any capacity, return to the YTP community. I don't know what's going on with it these days. I've kept an rsync backup of YTPMania's install since its closure last year. I'm sort of so beyond caring, though, that I'm not going to do any sort of proper archive and just sit on the domain for a few more years. So take this as a forewarning: I'm going to shut down the DO droplet by Spring, and the forum will actively be, effectively, gone.

Last parting message, I do miss a lot of you. In 2026, I'm going to be more generally available. I don't want to go into too much detail, but I think Dani would agree with me that any amicable relations we showed online were largely superficial for the sake of a tidy transition. We are, in my opinion after how she's treated me, far from friends. But that's all I'll say on that matter. We never have to interact with each other again, and I'm perfectly happy to maintain that position indefinitely.

Hope all of you are well, and had a great holiday in spite of how bad the state of the US and the world in general are. And I've seen the Discord screenshots from years. Crypto-fascist? Good lord, I thought it had something to do with the fact that I had BAT enabled for the ytpmania domain, but sort of goes to show if you don't actually know somebody, you're scarcely qualified to comment on them. I'm pro-freedom, baby. You can't call yourself a freedom loving American, and then proceed to apply stipulations to who does and doesn't get that freedom. Trans lives matters. Black lives matter.
