Winterbreak Spotlight

Nifty video by Dammit Jeff on YouTube. TBH, even if I expected jailbreaking your Kindle Paperwhite to be a thing (it's an Android tablet; of course you can jailbreak it), I wouldn't have really understood the why behind it since I thought the MLG move was to sideload everything through Calibre and keep the device permanently in airplane mode.

I'm convinced, though. Not by the janky Gameboy emulator or Linux desktop, but so much of the utility. As much as I love Calibre, I think fewer things beat the drag'n'drop approach of pulling files over from your PC via USB. Makes me envious of the iPod Classic users and Rockbox--wish those little beauties weren't so expensive these. One day, perhaps.
